社長でありデザイナーの「NILS HOLGER MOORMANN」（ニルス・ホルガー・モーマン）によって1982年に設立。
ミュンヘン近郊のアルプスの麓、ババリア地方のアッシャウという村でボルト１本から工場生産、まで全てを行っている。古い役所をリフォームして作られた事務所は、デザイン部、営業部、経営部、梱包担当に分かれ、社内にある展示スペースは元馬小屋を利用している。このことからも分かるようにババリア地方の誇りを大事に、必要最低限の素材で特性を最大限に引き出し作られる家具は、どれも丈夫でシンプルな構造美をもっている。

It is a president and it establishes it in "NILS HOLGER MOORMANN" (Nilsholgarmorman)1982 of the designer.
The factory production and all are done from one bolt in the village named Asshau in the foot in the Alps in Munich outskirts and Bavarian areas. The office that reforms an old , the management part, and the packingcharge, and the display space that exists in in-house uses former mews. It has the boast of a Bavarian area as understood from this, and it importantly has the characteristic in necessary minimum material and furniture from which drawing out is made to its maximum has all strong, simple structural beauty.
